Round Rock

Round Rock Test Article

Quick Functional Test (Do This Now)

  1. Go to Posts โ†’ Add New
  2. Title it:
    โ€œRound Rock Test Articleโ€
  3. In the right sidebar, check the box for Round Rock under Community
  4. Publish

Now go to:

/community/round-rock/

If you see that post there โ€” your system is working.

Next: Make Sure Your Custom Post Types Work Too

Repeat the same test for one of your custom post types:

Example:

  • Add a Resource
  • Assign it to Round Rock
  • Publish
  • Visit /community/round-rock/

If it does NOT appear, that means:
Your custom post type is not set to show in taxonomy archives.

Thatโ€™s fixable โ€” but test first.

Important Editorial Rule Going Forward

Every piece of content must have:

1 Community selected

If you skip it, it wonโ€™t show anywhere local.

This becomes part of your publishing discipline.

Now letโ€™s zoom out strategically.

Right now you have:

Structure built
Communities created
Menu navigation working

You are officially ready to begin adding content.

Before you start adding a lot of content, one question:

Do you want:

โ€ข Community pages to mix all content types together (news + events + resources all in one stream)?

Or

โ€ข Community pages broken into sections (news section, events section, etc.)?
