Your information, clearly explained.
What is public
After approval, the title, description, general location, compensation, and contact details you submit appear publicly. Visitors and search engines can copy them. Removing or expiring a post cannot recall copies made elsewhere.
What stays private
Pending submissions, management-code hashes, private reports, and reporter email addresses are available to authorized administrators and hosting operators, not on the public board. A management code is displayed once; only its hash is saved.
Cookies and spam checks
A temporary, essential session cookie helps protect forms. Server-side spam controls use a salted hash of the connection IP address for short-term rate limits. Hosting and WordPress may keep security and access logs. Administrator login uses WordPress cookies. This board adds no advertising or analytics trackers.
Retention and requests
Posts expire from public view after 30 days unless renewed and approved. Administrators retain submissions and reports for moderation until removed; expired posts are hidden but remain available for renewal and moderation. Contact info@thelocalpost.org for correction, removal, or privacy requests. Do not send your private management code by public post.
